February Project of the Month – A New Etsy Shop!

This month I’m excited to share the opening of my new Etsy shop with my Handmade Greeting Cards:  CardzByDeeZyne.etsy.com  CardsByDeeZyne

I already have an Etsy shop for my Handmade Sea Glass Jewelry:  ByDeeZyne.etsy.com ByDeeZyne and I still get a kick out of getting orders from all over the country and the world but I have become obsessed with card making of late and thought I would open a second Etsy shop with my cards.

I am just starting out and even though I’ve been involved with Etsy for some time now, I am finding there are still some challenges with starting a new shop.  It will take some time to get it off the ground and perfect my “product” and find my niche.  I just hope that people are still sending snail mail.  I send out cards to friends and family all the time and I know I love receiving mail myself but I today it is all about email and social media.  I love tech but it isn’t the same as a had written note or letter.

I hope you will visit both my shops.  I welcome custom orders and would be happy to work with you to design cards or jewelry just for you.

I’m adding more cards all the time:

November Project of the Month – Thank you cards for my Etsy store

This month I decided to change up the thank you notes that I send out with my Etsy orders (bydeezyne.etsy.com).  I love making hand made cards and always send a thank you note but usually they are computer generated.  This month I decided to make them with my stamp sets to satisfy my card making obsession.

Much more fun!  The cards below are a new set from Avery Elle called Berry Good.  I stamped the first card with black ink but then decided to emboss the rest with black embossing powder.  I colored the peaches with Stampin’ Up colored pencils and their watercolor blender.  I added some rhinestones just because.

Here are some more 3 x 3 thank you notes.  These were quick and easy.  I put strips of washi tape on card stock and die cut the stars.  I embossed and scored the card base and added the sunshine washi tape and attached the stars with dimensionals.  Love the results!

Cards Added To Etsy Site

I decided to add greeting cards to my Etsy Jewelry site (ByDeeZyne.etsy.com) after a customer asked me to include one in a gift she was sending to a friend.  These are just an add-on to the seaglass jewelry purchases and not for sale alone.  I would love to sell just the cards but there doesn’t seem to be much of a market for them on Etsy.  I love making them with both my Stampin’ Up supplies and my Silhouette Cameo.  Here are a few samples:
